After a great controversy about the delivery of World Cheapest Tablet Aakash, In Monday Government Clear that Datawind will continue the deal of Aakash. The upgraded version Aakash 2 will be delivered by April 2012.
Initially Government has decided to provide 1 lakh Aakash tablets in India. Till Now Datawind has delivered 30,000 tablets and the rest 70,000 Aakash-2 tablets will also provided by Datawind

HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said that the demand of Aakash is very high. We want to ensure the avilability of Aakash in all colleges and universities.
Kapil Sibal said about the problem coming from Aakash that the first version of the sky are improving, on the basis of reports from students and other classes.
HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said,”In coming years we needs 22 million Aakash tablets. In order to complete the huge demand of Aakash, we need several manufactures. We will be able to deliver Aakash-2 by April 2012.”

According to the Goverment that we has got the complaint about battery, processor of Aakash but now we are improving the problem coming in Battery and Processor. We are enhancing the specifications of Aakash on the basis of feedback received from the first version of Aakash.
Government will again Issue Tender for Aakash
At the launching of Aakash Government decided to make 1 lakh Aakash Tablets but now seeing the great response and demand of Aakash, this initial amount 1 lakh is very less. Now Government is planning to deal with some more companies to complete the huge demand of Aakash. The Government will again issue a tender for Aakash, in which other companies will also take part and to complete the huge demand of Aakash.
